hi Fabrizio,
BIO is the AAEON board-to-board I/O widely used across all the embedded boards.
The signals reported are the same for all the board, so it is an internal standard expansion.
If you want to know more, I invite you to take 10 minutes to read this whitepaper ftp://data.aaeon.com.tw/DOWNLOAD/Whitepaper/AAEON's BIO Interface.pdf
You can find the pinout at page 23 of the PICO-APL4 User manual, stored in the Download section https://downloads.aaeon-community.com/download/pico-apl4-manual-r1-0/
We have several modules that can be connected, see the products page here: https://www.aaeon.com/en/c/bio-boards
Soon some of those modules, and new ones, will be supported by the community.
At the moment the modules are anyway validated and working.
