        <title>PICO-TGU4 how to update bios?</title>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi!</p>

<p>I have a PICO-TGU4 board and i need to update the bios, so i created a usb key as described here <a href="https://forum.aaeon-community.com/discussion/39/update-bios-through-uefi-shell" rel="nofollow">https://forum.aaeon-community.com/discussion/39/update-bios-through-uefi-shell</a></p>

<p>but I doesn't work, it will not boot the uefi shell from the key and always come back to the bios settings...</p>

<p>But the key is recognized as uefi<br />
What am i missing ? (Note :  any damage from H/W change  at customer could violet  warranty.)</p>

<p>PICO-APL1 A1.0 LPC connector CN18, pin 10/11  are co-lay  for SMBUS and I2C ,   default is SMBUS. <br />

1.R437 change to R481<br />
2.R440 change to R482<br />

<p>I am trying to use the EApiI2CGetBusCap function from the API, but every I2c Id (see below) results in EAPI_STATUS_UNSUPPORTED.</p>

<p>Functions for GPIO are working fine.</p>

<p>I have : PICO-APL1-A10-0001</p>

<p>Any ideas?<br />

        <description><![CDATA[<p>PICO-APL1 BIOS files include update tool and BIOS image (.bin) in a ZIP file.<br />
for example standard v1.3 ZAP1AM13</p>

<p>it can update the BIOS per UEFI as followings<br />
1. unzip the files and copy to a USB disc.<br />
2. Power on board with USB drive attached.<br />
3. select the first  boot priority to UEFI Shell.<br />
4.  Move operating directory to USB drive (fs0 or other labels)<br />
   SHELL&gt; fs0:<br />
5. Enter the directory with BIOS file and update batch<br />
6.  Execute update batch (go.nsh)<br />
7. Confirm update procedure is completed without problem<br />
8. Reboot system (automatically)</p>

Color depth <br />
18bit= single channel   &amp;  6 bit color <br />
24bit= single channel   &amp;  8 bit color <br />
32bit= dual channel     &amp;  6 bit color<br />
48bit= dual channel     &amp;  8 bit color</p>

<p>For example,  the pictures above selected setting for 1024x768 panel with a single channel 6 bit color .</p>

<p>note:<br />
Resolution from 1440 x 900 to 1920x1200 must be dual channel data transmission<br />
So choose 18/24 Bit (Single channel) can't light the screen.</p>

Red LED indicates standby voltage ready<br />
Green LED indicates operating voltage ready<br />
Blue LED is the hard disk indicator</p>

<p>PICO-APL1 has BOM selection to switch RI/5V/12V for COM2 per 0 Ohm resistors R256/R248/R250.<br />
